insects

This is one of the first scarves I designed. I have always been intrigued by insects. Duringmy holidays in Drenthe (the Netherlands) I collect insects. Sometimes they are dead but still in beautiful shape, which gives me the opportunity to examine them closely. I discovered that a fly is not just black but that it has many beautiful colours. I started to make pencil drawings of these insects. Besides that I made drawings with digital techniques. If you look closely, you will notice that everything on this scarf is hand drawn.

You can not wear the scarf the wrong way. There is no top or bottom. The scarf is silk (twill 17,5 m/m) and 100% Dutch, designed and printed in the Netherlands.
